The Shared Spirits blanket pays homage to what all Native American tribes have in common. The relationship honoring the spiritual world is represented by the moon, sun, stars, and rain clouds. Tribute to the natural world is shown by squash, corn, tobacco, beans, elk, buffalo, eagle, and bear. The central sacred circle contains a cross, which is the universal symbol for the creation of mankind and the four directions. The background is black, with the designs in ombre colors of the rainbow. Pendleton Woolen Mills has woven the symbols and legends of Native American tribes into stunning blankets for the past century. Native Americans were the first--and to this day remain--Pendleton's most loyal customers. 82% pure virgin wool/18% cotton. Napped. Felt bound. Dry clean. Made in the U.S.A.
Construction
The highest quality fabric and construction are the earmarks of a Pendleton product. Pendleton stands behind its products with full warrantees and will replace any damage or failure if the product was correctly maintained and cared for. Wool fiber is naturally elastic and prone to keeping its shape, which means it is wrinkle-resistant. If a garment or blanket is hung for 24 hours, it usually will restore a smooth appearance, with no need for ironing. Some of our Pendleton items are hand washable, but if the label says 'Dry Clean,' the item does not have a washable finish, and washing it can result in shrinkage and loss of fabric smoothness. Please follow care instructions on the label.
